AAHOA Director at Large Named One of San Diego’s “20 Men Who Make a Difference”

unnamed-2The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) is proud to announce that Vipul Dayal, AAHOA Director at Large, has been named among the 2015 “20 Men Who Make a Difference” by San Diego Metropolitan magazine.

Dayal serves his community as President of VNR Management, Inc., a hospitality development and management company, and as Executive Director of Charity for Hope, a nonprofit organization that collects and distributes financial and material aid to economically disadvantaged groups. Dayal was awarded AAHOA’s Outreach Award for Philanthropy earlier this year.

Dayal’s nominator for the San Diego Metropolitan award, who wishes to remain anonymous, hopes that community and hotel industry leaders will be motivated by his hard work: “[Vipul] has truly made a splash in the nonprofit industry in the last few years. We are very impressed with his philanthropic and business achievements with Charity for Hope and VNR Management.”

Said Dayal, “It is an enormous honor to be on the same list as men who have made such a strong, positive impact on San Diego. I consider it a privilege to serve alongside them and am grateful for the opportunity to play a role in helping to make our city better than ever.”

San Diego Metropolitan judges, which included San Diego community leaders and recognized professionals from several different fields, received nearly 100 nominations this year. The panel focused on a variety of qualifications to determine the finalists, such as length of service and evidence of dedication to the community, passionate commitment to a specific cause or industry, and clear, measurable professional competence.

AAHOA President and CEO Chip Rogers said, “Vipul’s commitment to his community and to professional excellence have always made him an outstanding member of AAHOA. On behalf of AAHOA, I congratulate Vipul and look forward to his continued success.”

Dayal was officially recognized as one of 2015’s Men Who Make a Difference in San Diego Metropolitan’s August 2015 issue.
